Individualism is a fundamental value in Hong Kong.
Everyone believes in the right to express his or her own
opinion without fear of punishment.
This value, however, is coming under fire in an unlikely
place – the school classroom. Should school students
be allowed to make individual decisions about clothing,
or should all students be required to wear a uniform?
After weighing both sides of the argument, I believe the
advantages of wearing school uniforms outweigh its
disadvantages. Some of my opinions will be
demonstrated below.
First of all, wearing school uniforms would help to make
students’ lives simpler.
