Choose three books – label your choices 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and submit 2. Buy or borrow your book 3. Bring your book to class and read and eat for three days 4. Write your paper. 5. Hand your paper in Section 1. 1 paragraph (4-5 sentences) include the title, author, story line and your opinion of your book (do not use I) 5 points Section 2. 1 paragraph (10 sentences) Include a summary of the key points (do not use I) 5 points Section 3. 2 paragraphs (6-8 sentences each) Paragraph one should include a description of one external conflict in the novel and should have one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support your analysis Paragraph two should include a description of one internal conflict in the novel and should have one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support your analysis (do not use I) 10 points (5 per paragraph) Section IV. 3 paragraphs (5-10- sentences each) Paragraph one should analyze a major character at the beginning of the novel and should include one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support your analysis Paragraph two should analyze the same character at the middle of the novel and should include one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support your analysis Paragraph three should analyze the same character at the end of the novel and should include one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support your analysis (do not use I) 15 points (5 points per paragraph) Section V. 1 paragraph (5-8 sentences) Paragraph should analyze the theme of the novel and should include one quote from the novel integrated into the writing to support this theme (do not use I) 10 points Section VI. 4 paragraphs (4-8 sentences each) Paragraph one should be a summary of the review(s) you found on your novel (please hand review(s) in with your paper) Paragraph one should be your reaction to a critic who has written about this novel and whom you agree with – paragraph should include a quote from the critique Paragraph two should be your reaction to a critic who has written about this novel and whom you disagree with – paragraph should include a quote from the critique Paragraph three should be your reaction to a critic who has written about this novel and whom you were wowed by – paragraph should include a quote from the critique (do not use I) 40 points (10 points per paragraph) Section VII. 1 paragraph (10 sentences) Paragraph should include one mirror and one window (in class explanation) (you may use I) 5 points Section VIII.
