Monsoons are seasonal winds. For half the
year (Apr-Oct) these winds come from the
SW off the Indian Ocean and bring wet
weather to the subcontinent. During the
other half of the year (Nov-Mar), the winds
come from the NE off the Asian continent
and are very dry.
The Caste system is a social class system.
The Aryans started the caste system.
There are four classes in the Aryan system.
You are born into a caste and stay there all your
lifetime.
Your job, family life, marriage and daily activities are
all shaped by your caste.
The caste system is valued because it brings harmony
and order to Indian society.
