believe in God and the lawyer is concerned that Meursault is to hardened
and uncaring and because of this he may lose this trial.

anything because in his view life has no meaning and in my opinion he is
right.

killed a man he does not deny it openly or weep in his own defense like
other criminals.
Chapter Two (part 2)
4. When Meursault says that its is and advantage to having a memory he is
referring to the fact that while he is in jail it is a good thing to put his mind
to work by recalling his life and what that means to him.

and released from jail because after a conversation with the jailer he realizes
he wants his freedom back.

freedom has been taken from him this is something that the other prisoners
go on without realizing.
7. The only two words that still have meaning to Meursault are yesterday and
tomorrow and that he does not comprehend that he has been in jail for five
months.

in a retirement home.
