SOCCER BOOSTERS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
All Traverse City Central senior varsity soccer players are eligible to apply for the one-time $500
Soccer Boosters Scholarship.
Students that apply for the scholarship must include the following:
A personal essay describing how “Trojan Soccer” has influenced and shaped their
lives. The essay should include, but is not limited to:
 How has soccer prepared you for life after high school?
 What leadership characteristics have you learned from soccer?
 How does the impact of soccer in your life integrate with your future goals?
 Your essay should use proper grammar, and correct sentence and paragraph
structure.

Letter of recommendation from a soccer coach, referee, or mentor
Letter of recommendation from school staff
Copy of a college acceptance letter (if available, or as soon as available)
Copy of the student transcript
Applicants must also:
_ Minimum GPA: 2.5
- Have participated in the Trojan Varsity Soccer Program during your high school
career
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship, leadership and possess a positive attitude
- Be an active participant in school or community activities
The Traverse City Central High School Boys Soccer Boosters Scholarship Committee will determine
the recipient of this scholarship to be awarded. The amount of the scholarship is $500 for a senior
boy. If more than one candidate is deserving of the scholarship, the committee reserves the right to
divide the award between participants.
Check will be made payable to the college student for college costs only. If student does not attend
college during the 2016-2017 school year, the scholarship will be forfeited.
Applications are due by November 25, 2015, by 3:00 pm, to the Athletic Department Office.
No extensions will be allowed.
