ON THIS GLORIOUS MOTHER'S DAY
when we celebrate the festival of the Christian
home, we welcome all who have come to praise
God, the Creator of us all. Peace and joy to all!
EVERYONE IS INVITED to stay after the
service this morning for a time of fellowship and
refreshments in the fellowship room.
-OUR CHURCH IN WORSHIP –
YOU ARE INVITED to join the Fremont area
CRC churches for a combined service on
Ascension Day. The worship service will be held
at Trinity CRC on Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 PM.
NEXT SUNDAY EVENING we will be hosting
the combined worship service for the area CRCs.
CHURCH BULLETINS: The order of worship
print is being made larger in the regular bulletin.
If you would still like a large print bulletin, please
let the secretary know. Children’s bulletins are on
the shelves in the narthex.
THE LOOP SYSTEM is available in the
sanctuary for those who are in need of hearing
assistance.

TORNADO WATCH INFO. - If the National
Weather Service issues a Tornado Watch or
Tornado Warning for our area within 1 hour of a
scheduled meeting or worship service, that
meeting or service will be cancelled.
-CHURCH FAMILYCOLLEEN HALL will be making her
profession of faith this morning.
PASTOR JIM AND THE KUIPER FAMILY
plan, Lord-Willing, to hit the road for California
on July 13 of this summer. Pastor Jim has a
pastoral commitment for the weekend of July 12
and he will take his final open pulpit that
weekend. So the Kuipers' final Sunday at First
CRC will be July 5.
WE PRAISE GOD that Matthew Minasian will
be making his public profession of faith on the
morning of Sunday, May 24.
PARENTS OF GRADUATES - Please let
Kristi know by Wednesday, May 20, if you have a
child graduating this year (from Middle School,
High School, or College). We plan to celebrate
our Graduates on Sunday, May 31.
CONGRATULATIONS to Laurie Breuker on
her retirement! Her new address is: 1070 Village
Lane, Jenison, MI 49428. We wish Laurie many
blessings as she begins her new life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Cobie Wolfsen this
week! She will turn 91 on Sunday, May 17.
-CHURCH MINISTRIESPASTOR'S SCRIPTURE CHALLENGE TO
YOU: Our Gathering Scripture for next week
is Psalm 93. Our evening scripture for next week
will be Jude 19. Consider committing part or the
whole of this scripture to memory. May God
bless you in His Word this week.
PIZZA LUNCH - Pastor Jim will be having
pizza lunch on Tuesday at Western Michigan
Christian High School. Jamie Kuiper and friend,
bring your appetites!
SUNDAY SCHOOL END-OF-THE-YEAR
POTLUCK will begin at 11:40 a.m. (right after
Sunday School ends) on Sunday, May 17. Rolls
and juice will be provided. Please bring your own
table service and a dish or two to pass.

May 17 – Worship and play at the beach – we will
depart for Lake Michigan from Second Church at
1pm. June 8 - White Caps game.
Young Life - Our last club at Fremont Rec is
tomorrow night at 7:56pm. Plan to meet at
Lakeside Swirl on May 18 for our final event
before summer. All high school students are
welcome to join!
SONG SERVICE LEADERS - We need
leaders beginning in June. There is a sign-up sheet
on the hallway cabinet for people that would like
to lead. Song Service is usually the 2nd & 4th
Sunday evenings of the month. Thank you to
those who lead!
CADETS: As in years past, the Cadets will be
marching in the Memorial Day Parade (on
Memorial Day, Monday, May 25). Please be at
the street east of the Fire Barn in Fremont by 6:15
p.m. in uniform.
Registrations were passed out for the Cadet
Summer Camp-Out. Please fill these out and
return them to your Counselors by June 7.
Thank you all for being a Super Cadet this past
year. Have a safe summer; we look forward to
seeing everyone back in the fall.
THE BIBLE LEAGUE VOLUNTEERS effort
of collecting NEW and USED books, DVD's,
CD's, cassettes and VHS's is an ongoing project.
A collection box is located under the coat rack
near the Council room or speak with Maxine
Luchies for more information. Thank you for your
donations.
ANNUAL CHURCH CAMPOUT - The date
has been chosen. Most people preferred Father's
Day weekend - June 19 - 21. The campout will be
held at Woods and Water RV Park in White
Cloud. They have campsites, park units and motel
rooms. Everyone can come, even if you don't
have camping equipment.
Please make
reservations by calling 231-689-6685. Tell them
you are with the 1st CRC of Fremont group.

Fremont Christian School will be presenting their
Festival of the Arts at the Dogwood Center.
Choir and Bands will be performing, our
Elementary grades will be presenting “Big Shot,”
and samples of artwork from all students will be
displayed in the lobby. Please come and see how
the students have used their talents to honor God
this school year. Everyone is invited!!
THE FREMONT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
AUCTION was a great evening of community
building and fund-raising. Thanks to everyone
who participated and gave of their time and
treasure in so many ways! At this point it appears
that profits will exceed $65,000! Thanks be to
God!
GRANT WESLEYAN CHURCH will be
holding a dessert/baked good sale on May 16 to
raise funds for a mission trip to Central Asia.
A CANCER SUPPORT GROUP will meet the
2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
at the Fremont Wesleyan Church. For more

CONFERENCE GROUNDS - Looking for a
safe, fun place to camp this summer with your
family and friends? The Conference Grounds is
a family-oriented campground on Lake
Michigan! We have all the amenities needed for
camping, including a heated pool, and lots of
activities for all ages! Check us out at

Day weekend, May 22-25. Full hook up is $110
and water/electric only is $95 for 3 nights of
camping fun! If you are looking for a quieter,
slower-paced week think about coming for XWeek: May 30-June 6, or Orientation Week: June

The next Senior Serve/Retirees Week at the
Christian Reformed Conference Grounds is May
26-29 . If you are available to come and help with
some flower planting, general clean up, raking,
and repairing we can use you! This working week
will also be filled with fun, fellowship and Bible
Study lead by Pastor Al Jongsma. The cottages
are filled but you can camp or drive in (the only
charge is your willingness to work). Call us at

ATTENTION ALL FISHERMEN: The
Calvinist Cadet Corps is hosting its thirteenth
annual fishing tournament to raise funds to
support its ministry - helping boys grow
spiritually in all areas of life. The fishing
tournament will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015
at Gun Lake State Park in southwest Michigan.

THE ANNUAL SOCIETY MEETING of the
Fremont Christian School will be held on Monday
evening May 11th, at 7:00 PM in the Middle
School gym. Board members will be elected, and
the budget for 2015/2016 will be presented for
review and approval. All Society Members are
encouraged to attend.
MOSES MISSION TRIPS - Teens and adults!
We still have space for you on our mission trip to
Ensenada Baja Mexico. Dates are July 7-19. Meet
