ATMO 336 Section 3: Homework 4 assignment: Essay on “An Inconvenient Truth”
In class Tuesday April 17 and Thursday April 19, the documentary, “An Inconvenient
Truth”, plus material added in the following year will be shown. You will be expected to
take notes in class during these showings that you will use to do the homework
assignment.
The homework 4 assignment is to write a 2 (or more) page, double spaced paper about
the following:
1. Briefly describe/summarize 10 arguments made in the movie that human-induced
climate change is happening and is important
2. Which of the arguments did you find the most convincing that the climate is
changing because of human induced? Explain why.
3. What argument concerning global warming did you disagree with or find the least
convincing?
4. Identify and discuss the issue presented in the movie that concerned you the most.
5. Identify and discuss some aspect of climate that might be improved with global
warming.
6. Discuss an action you believe we should be taking to mitigate global warming and
explain why,
OR,
if you don’t think any changes should be made now, explain why.
Everyone must use the following format: 12 point font, 1" margins, double-spaced text,
place your name on a single line in the upper right hand corner of the first page, write the
course number and instructor's name in the upper left hand corner, and the title of the
paper centered on the next double-spaced line, followed by the text of the paper. Do not
use a title page (a waste of paper).
Your paper will be graded according to content, organization, and proper use of the
English language. Keep your discussions precise. Points will be
