Kids InfoBits—Find magazine, newspaper, and reference book articles from titles geared for
elementary students. Many reference book titles come from Gale’s reputable print collection,
including Blackbirch Encyclopedia of Science and Invention, First Facts about U.S. History, Junior
Worldmark Encyclopedia of the Nations, and more.
Kids Search—Includes magazine articles and excerpts from reference books, such as
Monkeyshines on Ancient Cultures, Discovering America, Events of the Middle Ages, and the Our
States series. Includes an Encyclopedia of Animals database.

Professional Development Collection—provides full-text articles from nearly 550 high quality
education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains
more than 200 educational reports.
Book Collection: Nonfiction – Find abstracts and full text of many popular nonfiction titles from
many subject areas

Images
Digital Library of Georgia—Images relating to Georgia’s history and culture can be found in
many databases, including Vanishing Georgia, Barnard’s Photographic Views of the Sherman
Campaign, various historical diaries, and other resources.
New Georgia Encyclopedia—The encyclopedia includes images on Georgia’s history, places,
people, arts, and more. The NGE includes video and audio clips that are viewable through the
QuickTime plug-in.
Several subscription databases include image collections. Under fair use guidelines, images
may be used for educational projects and papers that will not be published. Databases with
