Curriculum for Excellence

Throughout the topic pupils were given secret missions. To be successful, they had to fulfil a number of criteria. The first mission involved carrying out research to discover what the ship looked like and then, in groups, children reconstructed the ship on the classroom wall.

The class thoroughly enjoyed the topic. As well as learning lots of interesting facts about Titanic, they also developed a number of important skills including teamwork, problem solving and independent thinking. The children enjoyed the opportunity to share what they have been learning with parents and friends.

A group of four pupils from P6 and P7 have been visiting Kirkland High School on a

Thursday afternoon to be part of a Cluster Algebra Group. The children have been working on extending their knowledge of maths.

On a Friday the children in the school and nursery have been meeting with their buddies to share a Book Buddy time.
