a) lipid metabolism (Phospholipids , triacylglycerols and steroids) in human beings
and in experimental animals affected by some diseases e.g. bilharsiasis, diabetes
mellitus , atherosclerosis ,cancer and oxidative stress.
b) Therapeutic effects of some drugs on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in
some tissues as retina and adipose tissue and in some organs as kidney , liver , and
aorta in some diseases on molecular level.
c) The effect of free radicals formation on lipid and carbohydrate metabolism and
on enzymes in many tissues and organs of experimental animals diseased with
diabetes mellitus , and those under the effects of oxidative stress , radiation or in
flammtion and changes of the biochemical levels and pattern from diseased states
towards normal pattern under the effect of antioxidants eg, vitamins C, E , Bcarotene , selenium , N - acetyl cysteine , taurine , quercetin and propalis.
d) deleterious effects of food additives on metabalism of some organs as liver,
kidney and brain as well as the toxic effects of some fungeal metabolites as
aflatoxin on liver metabalism in expermental animals and alleviate such toxic
