CHARNWOOD CORE STRATEGY EXAMINATION – INVITATION TO INITIAL HEARINGS
Thank you for inviting Signet Planning to represent William Davis (ref. 2831) at the initial hearings for
the Charnwood Core Strategy Examination in Public. I write to inform you that the representations made
to the Pre-Submission Consultation Plan under Regulation 20 of the Town and Country Planning (Local
Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 in respect of the overall quantum of housing and Duty to Cooperate (part of Comment ID CSP3224) is formally withdrawn. A statement of common ground between
William Davis and Charnwood Borough Council has now been agreed in respect of these matters. For
clarity please see the enclosed copy of the submitted representations with the withdrawn text struck out.
On the basis that these sections of the representations have been withdrawn, William Davis has asked
me to decline your invitation to participate in the initial hearings in respect of Matters 1 and 2.
Please note that the paragraph in Comment ID CSP3224 addressing the issue of housing distribution
(first paragraph on page three of the representations) has not been withdrawn. Should the Inspector
decide to proceed with the Examination, our client respectfully requests the opportunity to participate in
the sessions relating to housing distribution.
