There are relatively few Latin American historical documents that have been translated
into English. The materials that have been translated fall into the following categories.




Translated works of important Latin American historical documents
Translations of memoirs, letters, etc. by major Latin American figures, such as
Bolívar.
Travelogues and memoirs of English speakers living or traveling in Latin
America.
English language newspapers
Below are translations found in the Hesburgh Library. It is important to note that this is
not a complete list by any means. Also, some of these works have been translated more
than once.
