4 th June 2015
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This year ‘Active Week’ will take place during the week beginning 29 day will be held on Wednesday 1 st th June. Sports
July. As with last year, sports day will be split so that KS2 have their sports day from 9:30am-12:00pm and KS1 will have their sports day from 1:00pm-3:00pm. In order to fit everything in, these sessions will just involve the track events (races).
As well as keeping active all week, the children will also be encouraged to eat a healthy diet, taking part in activities such as making fruit kebabs.
On Thursday 2 nd July we will have our ‘Active Trip Day’ where all the children will have the opportunity to choose a trip they would like to go on for a day full of activities.

To ensure everyone gets a trip they will enjoy, we ask that you indicate your first, second and third choice of trip and return the form to the school by Wednesday 10 th
June. If we have not received your form by then, we cannot guarantee that your child will be allocated a place on a trip of their choice. Once the places on the trips have been allocated we will send out letters giving more details.
Although we want to allocate every child their first choice of trip we cannot guarantee this. This is why we ask for three choices: to ensure that every child has one of their preferred trips. Please ensure that they have chosen trips they want to do and that they are eligible for.
The school will cover some of the costs of Active week, but there will be a voluntary contribution of £15 per child towards the cost of the trips and other activities throughout the week. Other activities we have planned include climbing, dance, archery and fencing. If you have not already paid, payment must be made in full by Friday 19 th June.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Mappley
