We are looking for bright, energetic, self-described “techies” to provide technical and mental support to end-users, as well as routine systems administration and infrastructure maintenance. This is a full time, entry-level opportunity with potential for significant responsibility. While the focus of the position is technical support and routine administration, Technical Support Engineers will have the opportunity to learn about and work with sophisticated technical platforms, from VoIP telephony to Windows Active Directory and enterprise SANs. This is a hands-on job working with modern systems, and this is an entry/junior level position with opportunities for significant growth and professional development. Position Duties: Provide technical support on standard software applications, hardware and network issues Diagnose and resolve errors and problems in a timely manner Routine systems administration Author and maintain IS documentation Assist technology team with IS initiatives Candidate Requirements: Bachelors degree required – Desired majors include Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc. Candidates must demonstrate a comfort level working with mainstream PC hardware and software Interest in, and a basic understanding of, common IS technologies -- such as networking, DNS, anti-virus, anti-spam, SMTP, asset management, telephony and VPNs Candidates with programming/scripting interest and experience are preferred Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and outstanding oral and written communication skills Please note, although the Technical Support Engineer works standard business hours, the recommended career path for this role leads to positions that are expected, on occasion, to work overtime and holidays Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are a must There are multiple openings for this position.
