We have two venues for your wedding at the Priory – the barn and a gazebo which is
perfect for summer weddings when weather permits. The glorious surroundings and
scenery at the Priory is second to none which creates a different aspect to your wedding
than a typical church or outdoor wedding would.
The Priory is steeped in history that permeates throughout the grounds. The Priory was
established and founded in 1203 by Richard Argentein and the barn was built in 1541 by
James Needham – carpenter for the King. The barn is wonderfully beautiful and historic,
lending an air of the time to the ceremony, which is indicative in the carpentry which was
of the time that the barn was built. The beautiful concept of the Priory is unique in many
ways and lends itself as the perfect place for your special day to be held, complete with
being detailed to your requests, needs and wants.
