The Priory School
The Priory School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive, located in the London Borough of Bromley.
The School, together with a local primary school, is part of The Priory Academy Trust.
We are very proud of our school and what our young people achieve. Ofsted judge us as Good
(2012) where ‘[students] in all groups make consistently good progress’ and where ‘[students] are
polite and friendly, punctual to lessons and ready to learn.’ This success is due to our high
expectations and our belief that all students can succeed and are entitled to the best education
possible. In 2013 100% of our students achieved 5A*C GCSEs or equivalents. Our academic
results are impressive, and combined with the care, support, advice and guidance, students have
the opportunity to thrive and achieve their absolute best.
We believe that all members of our school community should have respect, for their own learning,
for the learning of others through tolerance, support and understanding, and for the environment
in which they learn.
The school is organised in colleges, each with its own college leadership team; colleges are home
to subject/s areas, Psychology and Sociology belong to Riverhead College. This structure helps to
develop a culture in which every student is known, encouraged and supported so that we can
endeavour to secure outstanding achievement.
The Priory School offers great opportunities outside the set curriculum. We are unique in having
our own Outdoor Education Centre in South Wales. All students have the chance to visit
‘Ramfield’. As a Sports College, we have developed elite academies for post 16 students in sport,
football and boxing.
The above statement should give you a flavour of what it is like to be part of The Priory School.
We are seeking to appoint hardworking, committed and conscientious teachers and leaders, who
would consider it a privilege to work with our young people.
We are an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, sexual
orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, race,
colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age.
We look forward to receiving your application.
