Program XIth BELACT MEETING About the scientific program “Transient gene expression – From nucleic acid to product” Exciting progress has taken place in the field of transient gene expression during the last ten years, with some breakthroughs both in non-viral and modified/alternative viral delivery methods, making the technology robust and applicable for the production of a variety of recombinant proteins. Friday, November 24st, 2006 KUL-Gasthuisberg Campus Auditorium GA3 Supported by ESACT and GSKBiologicals http://www.esact.org/ http://users.skynet.be/BELACT During this XIth Belact meeting, the focus will be on both fundamental and applied aspects of transient expression technology, upstream and downstream, from the nucleic acid to protein, from small scale to large scale. A poster exhibition will be organised, not restricted to the main meeting topics. Any subject linked to animal/human cell biology or cell culture technology will also be welcomed, fundamental or applied. Proposals should be sent to the BELACT contact persons (M. Raes or I. Knott), before November 3, 2006. A scientific equipment exhibition will be held by our sponsors during the meeting. 9:00 Registration 9:45 – 10.00 : Welcome address : M.
