of the system must be installed to ensure operators are in full view of the opening on both

Partitions shall be key switch controlled, requiring constant contact to activate the motor.
As a safety precaution, two key switches are required to activate the partition. Switches
to be mounted on both sides of partition to provide operators a clear view of the partition
path to prevent injury.
Motor drive shall automatically seal the partition in the opening.
The panels shall open and close at a constant nominal speed of 5 to 10 vertical feet (1.5 to
3 meters) per minute.

Trimless Edges: Fabricate exposed panel edges so finish facing wraps uninterrupted around
panel, covering edge and resulting in an installed partition with facing visible on vertical panel
edges, without trim, for minimal sightlines at panel-to-panel joints.
SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
A.
Tracks: Steel or aluminum [mounted directly to overhead structural support,] [with
adjustable steel hanger rods for overhead support,] designed for operation, size, and weight
of operable panel partition indicated. Size track to support partition operation and storage

Control Stations: Two single-key-operated, constant-pressure control stations located remotely
from each other on opposite sides and opposite ends of partition run. Wire in series to require
simultaneous activation of both key stations to operate partition. Furnish two keys per station.

Obstruction-Detection Devices: Equip each motorized operable panel partition with indicated
automatic safety sensor that causes operator to immediately [shut off motor] [stop and reverse

100 lbs of downward force exerted by the panel legs and without the need for floor bolts or
anything penetrating the floor finishes.

INSTALLATION

Broken, cracked, chipped, deformed, or unmatched panels are not acceptable.

Broken, cracked, deformed, or unmatched gasketing or gasketing with gaps at butted ends is not
acceptable.

Light-Leakage Test: Illuminate one side of partition installation and observe vertical joints and
top and bottom seals for voids. Adjust partitions for alignment and full closure of vertical joints
and full closure along top and bottom seals.
ADJUSTING
A.
Adjust [pass doors] [and] [storage pocket doors] to operate smoothly and easily, without
binding or warping.
B.
Verify that safety devices are properly functioning.
3.3
DEMONSTRATION
A.
Engage a factory-authorized service representative to train Owner's maintenance personnel to
