GENERAL
Juniors: If you want to decorate for Prom you must turn in
your permission slip and $10 deposit to Mrs. Breese, Mrs.
Luebbert or Ms. Kempker. The permission slip and deposit
money are due no later than Wed, April 18. The juniors
who have signed up to decorate for Prom will board a bus
at 8:20 at Fatima and will be transported down to the Lion’s
Hall to decorate for Prom. They will stay at the hall until
3:00. The bus will pick students up and return them to
Fatima.
Students who are decorating are required to pay a $10
deposit, which they will get back when they come on
Sunday to help take down the decorations. It has worked
well in the past if they write a check, then on Sunday they
will get their check back. If they don’t help with clean-up on
Sunday, the $10 deposit will go to the Junior Class account.
Sunday clean-up starts at 12:00 p.m.
NHS Members: If you want to run for office next year, see
Mrs. Rolwes for an application ASAP. They are due by
next Friday, 8:00 AM.
Contest: Want a chance to throw out the first pitch at a St.
Louis Cardinals game or hang out with the Mike Shannon
and John Rooney in the announcers’ booth? All students in
grades 8-12 are eligible to participate in the Vitae Essay
contest. See any English teacher for information or read
the flyers posted around school. Entries are due by May
11th.
Prom is April 21, 8-11:00pm. Doors open at 7:30pm and
close at 8:30pm.
FCCLA’s 5K Run/Walk is Sat.
Academic Awards Night is Wednesday, April 25. Please
check the list of students who will be receiving awards to
see if your name is on it. The list will be updated as
teachers turn in names, so check it frequently!
SPORTS
The Spring Athletic Banquet is scheduled for 6:00 PM at
the KC Hall on Sunday, June 3rd.
JH Track and Field: We travel to School of the Osage
tomorrow for a 3:45 meet. We travel to Linn on Thurs, April
19 for a 3:30 meet. For our last meet of the season, we
travel to South Callaway on Thurs, April 26 for a 4:00 start.
HS Track and Field:
We travel to Linn tonight - field
events start at 3:30. Varsity runs in the Capital City Relays
Saturday at 11:00 AM. We host the Fatima Blue & Gold
Relays Tues. Field events start at 2:30. Varsity travels to
Owensville Friday, April 20 for a 4:00 meet.
Baseball: V/JV play at Blair Oaks tonight starting at 5:00
- freshmen travel to Camdenton for a 5:00 game.
Tomorrow we host California at 5:30. On Monday, we host
Fulton at 5:00. We host Russellville on Tuesday at 5:00.
Soccer: Varsity travels to Rock Bridge on Mon for a 5:00
game. On Tuesday, V/JV travel to St. James for a 4:30
start. The Dixon Varsity Tournament starts Fri, April 20.
Golf: Varsity plays at Helias Monday at 9:00. On Tues,
V/JV play at Owensville at 4:15. Varsity plays at Redfield in
the Show-Me Conference match on Wed, April 18, 9:00 AM
tee time.
SENIORS
The senior walkout video, etc. is TODAY at 11:10 AM.
Please wear your senior shirt or a black shirt.
Sign up to take part in the Baccalaureate exercises on
May 11 at St. Joseph Church in Westphalia. The sign-up
sheet is in Mrs. Rolwes’ room. Please sign up by Fri, April
20. Also, if you attend a church other than in Osage County
and would like for your pastor to be invited to the
Baccalaureate Mass and Breakfast, please let Mrs. Rolwes
know by Fri, April 20.
Keep track of every scholarship you apply for!

GUIDANCE
NHS Seniors: If you want to apply for the $150 NHS
Scholarship, see Mrs. Rolwes immediately for an
application. They are due by next Friday, April 20.
Job Opportunities: I have three job opportunities, one at a
bank, one at a cabinet shop, and one to mow grass. For
the first two they are looking for a senior who will be
attending LU or LSTC. The third one will take anyone. If
you are interested, sign up on the paper outside of
Mueller’s office by Friday.

Health Career Discovery Camp will be held July 11-13,
2012 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM each day at the Phelps
County Regional Medical Center. Get information on
careers in the health industry, an understanding of how to
conduct basic patient assessments (blood pressure,
temperature, etc.), Eight hours of job shadowing and
attend a Scholarships and School Forum . For information

Apply for the Eagles Aerie 2693 Scholarship. Five $1000
scholarships will be awarded. Mueller has the form. Due
April 27.
Students with a 2.5 GPA or higher who has hunting
experience: Apply for the Buck Fever Scholarship. Last
year the local Whitetails Unlimited chapter gave six $500
scholarships. Must be returned to Mueller by April 25.
Lutherans going to MU: Apply for the Beta Sigma Si
scholarship. Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded. Due
by May 1.
