Grading
There will be three in-class exams and a final exam. There will also be 10 graded problem sets.
All exam material will be from in class lectures and from the problem sets.
No calculators, cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed during exams.

200 pts
10 pts each; total 100 pts.
Of the exams, the lowest will be dropped. If the Final is the lowest, it will only count for 100 pts.
Note: An hourly exam can only be missed with a documented medical excuse. If one misses an exam without a documented excuse, a zero is assigned and that exam cannot be dropped. THERE WILL BE
NO MAKE-UP EXAMS. IF YOU MISS AN HOURLY EXAM, THAT IS THE DROPPED GRADE
(ZERO).
The problem sets must be turned in BEFORE the beginning of the lecture when they are due; those received during or after lecture will be marked down 5 pts. All problem sets will be returned. If problem sets are scored below 5 pts, they may be returned late to make up to 5 pts, our very own “No
Homework Left Behind” policy.
