Description:
Lambda DNA was completely digested by Eco911, phenol extracted, ethanol precipitated and
dissolved in 10mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6) and 1mM EDTA. The marker yields the following 14 discrete
fragments (in base pairs): 8453, 7242, 6369, 5687, 4822, 4324, 3675, 2323, 1929, 1371, 1264, 702,
224, 117.
Storage Buffer: 10mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6. 1mM EDTA
6 x loading buffer: 60% Glycerol, 0.09% bromophenol blue, 0.09% xylene cyanol F and 60mM
EDTA.
Concentration: 0.05mg DNA/ml

Agarose gel electrophoretric analysis of homogeneity of Eco911 fragmentation patterns.
Recommendations for use
 Vortex gently just prior to use.
 Prepare DNA Marker, 15, before loading as following:
1ul (0.5ug) of Marker, 15
1ul of 6xLoading Dye Solution
4ul of deionized water.
 The cohesive ends of the 12nt cos site of bacteriophage lambda from fragments of 8453bp and
5687bp( indicated ) may anneal and form an additional band of 14140bp. These fragments can
be separated by heating at 65oC for 5 min and then cooling on ice for 3min.
 Following electrophoretic separation the DNA bands can be visualized by ethidium bromide
staining.
 Apply 0.1ug( 0.2ul ) of DNA Marker, 15, per 1mm of agarose gel lane width.
