Vendor’s must prepare GCC’s – Gander Mountain and Overton’s does NOT determine the contents of a vendor GCC. The vendor is required to issue a GCC based on passing test report or the vendor’s internal reasonable testing program. Item 1. Describe the product covered by this certification in enough detail to match the certificate to each product it covers and no others. Item 2. Insert the Style Number (VPN) Item 3. Provide the date(s) when the product was manufactured by at least month and year. Item 4. Provide the place of manufacture, at least the city and country or administrative region, of the place where the product was finally manufactured or assembled. If the same manufacturer operates more than one location in the same city, provide the street address of the factory. Item 5. Give the date of the tests or test report(s) on which certification is being based and the location(s) of the testing. Item 6. Provide the name, full mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number of the person maintaining test records in support of the certification. Item 7. If a third-party laboratory tested the product (required for children’s products) or conducted a testing program on which the certification is based, give the name, full mailing address and telephone number of the laboratory. The certificate must identify separately each applicable rule, ban, standard or regulation under the Acts administered by the Commission that is applicable to the product. Please see table below for ease of reference. For all apparel products a certification is required. For many apparel products there will be a test. For some apparel products, the fiber is exempt from testing. This exemption applies only to garments made exclusively from acrylic, mod-acrylic, nylon, olefin, polyester, wool or any blends of these specifics. Also, any plain surface fabric weighing 2.6 oz. per sq. yd. or more is exempt from testing. This completed certificate must be e-mailed to international.logistics@gandermountain.com at least 2 weeks before vessel departure so Gander Mountain/Overton’s can re-certify this certificate. Gander Mountain and Overton’s expects ALL its vendors to prepare and, as required by the CPSC, retain for a minimum of three years a GCC for all products sold to Gander Mountain and Overton’s. Vendors must retain and consult with their legal counsel and testing labs for guidance in testing and preparing their GCCs.
