Welcome Steven Templen and Dan Ashley of NPHC. Officer Reports President – Remember to attent KD’s Shamrock Tournament Saturday, show support in upcoming philanthropic events. CPA rep will be attending next presidents meeting for details on GreekWeek. Last Wed. in April. Membership Development – Chief Justice – Don’t raise too much hell Greek Relations / Public Relations – March 31st, Sex Signals- 7pm Auditorium April 1st, Purple 101- Relay for Life. April 1st NPHC, Pan-Hellenic, and IFC conference 5pm in MultiPurpose Room CPA April 2nd, Journey to a Hate Free Millennium, 7pm Culp Ballroom Relay for Life is April 3rd-4th April 6th, A study workshop in Culp April 8th 10-2 Ampitheater, Wellapolooza- Carnival of Health event. April 15th Unity Fest April 16th Summit awards Recruitment – Workshop March 27th 4-9 pm SORC B- Mandatory event for all chapters, please bring your President, PR chair and Recruitment chair. Workshop will focus on Guidelines for Recruitment, will have food. Leadership (Scholarship / Philanthropy) – Will be holding a 2nd meeting for amending IFC scholarship by-laws, only two scholarship chairs showed for 1st meeting. All chapter scholarship chairs please be present for 2nd meeting. Time TBA. Programming – Risk Management – Take Back the Night- Bring 7 dollars a man a attendee to your chapter president to turn into IFC next meeting. Secretary / Treasurer – All dues in except for Pike. Intramurals – Referee’s will need to be funded by IFC for Greek Week in order for all chapters to be able to participate. Sigma Chi will not be eligible otherwise. Parliamentarian – All dues must be in order to be able to Vote. Greek Advisor – Please bring your Chapter Presidents to the Multi purpose room of CPA 5pm April 1st. Council between NHPC Pan-Hellenic and IFC will be held. April 19th- By invitation. School tours of Campus will be held for the seniors with the highest GPA’s and ACT/SAT scores. Each fraternity in Culp can have booth set up 11:15-12:30 3rd floor. Greek Reception will be 2-4:20 2nd floor Culp, bring 2 men per chapter for this time slot. IFC will be have own table. April 15th-30th- Courtesy inspection of Fraternity Houses for Fire Code. Fire policies mandated and observed by fire marshall in August. Have your fire extinguishers refilled and all sockets plugged in by Surge Protectors. Greek Calendar for Fall- Submit events that are known as of now for events you will be having in Fall. Email Joy Fulkerson by April 15th with your dates. Old Buisness New Business 3rd Week of April is NPHC’s Greek Week, events include sorority appreciation day, workshops, a barbecue, game day and bowling. Show support for your fellow greeks. Take Back the Night, Saturday March 28th. Those that are attending, please be at the Old College of Medicine by 7:30 AM> Check emails by 5pm to see if any changes are made to minutes. Vote on Phi Sigma Phi Colonization was not passed. Motions Motion to Vote held till next IFC meeting for Colonization of Phi Sigma Phi- majority vote not met. Yay- Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Kappa Sigma Nay- Sigma Nu Abstained- Sigma Chi, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Phi Epsilon Pike Ineligible to vote Announcements Congratulations to Adam Bullock for acceptance to attend Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s Phoenix Institute, where he will be networking with alumni nationally. Pike will be having four members going to their National Council Award Workshop this year. Sigma Chi has two Nominee’s for their leadership Workshop Horizons. Dustin Smith and Turner King. David Pearce will be running for SGA senate. David is a member of Sigma Chi and will do his best to represent Greek’s on SGA. Vote for your fellow Greek man. The Parliamentarian found the meeting in good order and moved that we adjourned.
