DIRECTIONS:
1. Complete research to learn about a famous mathematician, and select one of the project forms for presenting
the research.
2. Each person must complete his/her own research and complete the “Let Me Introduce You” form.
3. Complete and present the project.
DESCRIPTION
All of the following projects must include all of the information from the “Let Me Introduce You” form. Each
person must complete a mobile and an oral report plus either a collage or a power point presentation to
accompany the oral report.
· Mobile—Create a hanging mobile that tells the story of the mathematician’s life. Each shape on the mobile
should represent one part of the “Let Me Introduce You” research form. Pictures or writing on each shape
should explain important parts of the mathematician's biography.
· Oral Report—Dress up as the person you have chosen. Tell "your" life story in a creative way using scenery
and/or props.
· Collage—Use pictures, words, maps, and symbols to create a large collage on poster board about the
mathematician. Use this to give an oral presentation to the class.
· Powerpoint presentation—Use pictures, words, maps, and symbols to create a powerpoint presentation about
the mathematician. Use this to give an oral presentation to the class.
