JOB DESCRIPTION – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Job Title: Chief Executive Officer Reports to: Trustees Salary: ‘Agenda for Change’: Pay Band 8B Summary of Job Role: To provide overall management, strategic leadership and sustainable development for Basildon Women’s Aid Main Responsibilities 1. Development and Implementation of Business and Strategic Plan. 2. To plan and direct the Organisation’s activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for financial performance, service delivery, and legislative adherence. 3. To maintain and develop the Organisational culture, values, reputation policies and procedures with Trustees, Users, Staff, Stakeholders and regulatory/official bodies. 4. To direct performance and function via the strategic management team. 5. Recruit, select and develop strategic management team. 6. Report to the Trustees on organisational plans and performance. 7. To execute the responsibilities of a Chief Executive according to lawful and ethical standards. 8. Represent the Organisation at the highest level in order to promote its values, aims and objectives. 9. Direct and manage the Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policies. 10. Develop relationships with organisations to establish sustainable funding streams to support the work of Basildon Women’s Aid.
