Lead organisational development across the group to facilitate change programmes that respond to business needs, that develop and grow people’s capacity and support and drive organisational culture. Support Directors in the creation and development of a positive working environment that promotes diversity and well-being, and supports employee engagement. External: Providers of benefits and wellbeing provision, owners of quality standards and employee surveys, legal advisors, external HR consultants. Key relationships Internal: Executive Directors, Heads of Service and Assistant Directors, L&D Manager, HRSS Manager, Health & Safety Manager, Equality & Diversity Manager, Communications team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Lead the Group HR function to support the delivery of the business plan objectives. Act as an HR Business Partner to the business to support, influence and drive change. Work closely with EDG, providing advice and guidance to ensure that HR influences, and is an integral part of business strategy. Ensure that OD and learning and development is at the heart of the business and enables leaders to develop the necessary skills to create and sustain one culture. Develop and implement an effective and forward thinking people strategy to support the changing needs of the organisation, which is regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to deliver the desired culture and outcomes for the business. Lead, support, and guide a team of HR professionals , support staff, and the shared service team to deliver excellent customer services across the group through effective leadership, motivation, communication and performance management. Provide advice and guidance to the Board and HR & Governance Committee on strategic HR matters and the implications of legislation relating to the group. Provide a professional HR advice service to managers and staff including providing ‘ in house’ coaching & training service where required/applicable. Lead and facilitate change management and restructuring programmes that ensure that organisation is prepared for and adapts to change successfully. Develop a range of approaches that can be used to successfully measure employee engagement and which support managers to make improvements. Lead the delivery of the organisational development service to the group; aligned to business requirements and that supports the learning, development and growth needs of leaders, managers and staff. Develop, maintain and review a remuneration and reward strategy that meets aspirations, the desire to be an employer of choice, and is affordable for the group. Develop and implement a well-being strategy that provides a positive working environment for people. Lead on, and develop, employee communication, negotiation and consultation arrangements to ensure that staff engagement is effective. Work with the communications team to develop effective systems that support employee communication and engagement. Responsible for setting and ensuring effective monitoring, reporting and review of HR and team performance indicators and management information. Promote a climate of high performance & quality standards , continual improvement and value for money, and ensure that performance targets are achieved and exceeded where possible. Ensuring current practice is positively and continuously challenged to deliver optimum value for money and customer service. Develop and maintain effective external relationships and partnerships which help promote the organisation and provide opportunities for the benefit of the group. Ensure that Stonewater’s people strategy enables the development of a diverse workforce, in line with the organisation’s overall Equality and Diversity strategy. Maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and best practice and develop new and innovative approaches. Responsible for effective budget planning and control and compliance with income and expenditure targets, procurement and financial controls and to ensure a value for money approach.
