Proposal for Workshop Series
Objectives
The CIL workshop series are workshops commenced at the beginning of
Semester B 2009-10 for the non final year CIL & Intermedia students. The
workshops will be on different hand-on skills supplementing their study. These
skills are identified by the CIL & Intermedia students to be important for their
artistic creation and study within the studio, ranging from 2D & 3D diagram
drawing (for installation plans), web design, programming languages, print
fundamentals to presentation skills. The CIL & Intermedia students are expected
to apply the techniques learnt into their study in CIL and artistic creations. The
workshops aim to raise the standard of artistry within the studio at large.

Tentative Schedule
The CIL Workshop Series will be completed in 3 weeks. The workshops will
mainly take place at weekday nights. The workshops will also take over one
session from 2 CIL core courses in semester B 2009-10, namely SM2220
Generative Art and Literature and SM2258 Creative Electronic Workshop. The
