At the beginning of this year, Toshiba’s Professional
Visual Products division presents its latest home cinema
projector TLP-MT3.
The successor of the successful TLP-MT1 model offers
excellent home cinema qualities with a brightness of 850
ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 400:1. The high
aperture ratio panels integrated into this LCD device
ensure particularly bright image display.
Thanks to its reduced ventilator noise of only 32 dB, the
TLP-MT3 can also be used for smaller audiences without
spoiling their joy with any disturbing noises. The 120 W
UHP lamp with a service life of up to 4,000 hours is
entirely in line with Toshiba’s efforts to reduce total
cost of ownership. The new model therefore offers best
prerequisites for use in private environments.

TLP-MT3 – Plug & Play Home Cinema
Due to the automatic recognition of connected devices
(auto adjustment) the device can be easily put into
operation. Simply connect the DVD player or video
recorder to the projector; additional installation of
software is not required. The menu guide of the TLP-MT3,
due to its clear icon menu, is as easy to operate as the
remote control that comes with the projector.
The Toshiba projector includes an S-Video and a video
input each for connecting a DVD player or video recorder,
one RGB input, one RGB output as well as two connections
for external loudspeakers (audio in/out).

The TLP-MT3 processes all conventional video signals,
such as NTSC, PAL and SECAM. It is HDTV-suitable and
compatible with PCs and Macintosh computers. Moreover,
the home cinema projector offers the keystone correction
feature which guarantees clear and unblurred image
borders.
TLP-MT3 – compact and appealing design
With its dimensions of only 318 x 87 x 233 mm and a
weight of only 3.7 kg, the new projector is one of the
smaller and lighter devices on the market for home cinema
projectors.
Its mother of pearl-colored housing, perfectly suitable
for ceiling assembly, combines state-of-the-art
technology and appealing design.

„Apart from the Mobile Presentation Division on which we
focus our attention, we will concentrate our efforts on
expanding our home cinema division in 2001. Data and
video projectors are no longer just conventional margin
products of the audiovisual high-end segment. The devices
are becoming more multifunctional, smaller and cheaper
and thus of more interest to private customers. For this
reason, we will put further home cinema devices on the
market this year, apart from the TLP-MT3 and the TDP-S2
already introduced to the market“, says Gerd Holl,
Marketing & Sales Manager, Professional Visual Products.
Availability, Price and Warranty TLP-MT3
The TLP-MT3 will be available from distributors,
authorized dealers and the retail market as of February
at a price of DM 8,990 (¤ 4,590) incl. VAT.
Toshiba grants a warranty of 24 months to all Toshiba
projectors.
