Project Santa Staff say Thank You
The staff of the Western Illinois Regional Council's
Project Santa Program would like to thank the teachers,
students, parents, and administration of St. Paul's
School, and members of the Parish, for the generosity
shown during the Holiday season. The Agency served
390 children in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough and
Warren counties through the program this year and
several received the Christ Child gifts and coats that
were purchased and given through the School's
collective efforts. As in years past, the coats made this a
very special season of sharing, as the children who
received the coats were very much in need and were
most delighted and appreciative to receive them. To
each and every one of you who had a hand in either the
coats or Christ Child gifts, thank you for your kind and
most thoughtful generosity!

Ashes for Ash Wednesday
The ashes used on Ash Wednesday are usually derived
from burning the blessed palms from previous Palm
Sunday celebrations. The ashes are blessed, sprinkled
with holy water and fumigated with incense. If you
have any blessed palms to be used, please leave them
in the basket in the narthex by Sunday, Feb 3rd.
