Barbara Nelson-Jameson Final agenda for Saturday's session.....I work closely with the folks at Riverside Kayak in Trenton to promote the development of watertrails in lower Michigan. They have been very involved in developing the Detroit Heritage River Water Trail and Lower Huron River Water Trail. Anyway....since they will be at the Symposium, I've invited Patrick VanDeHey, owner, to talk about 15-20 minutes on the role of the outfitter in promoting water trails and getting people on the water and paddling. Should be a great addition to the session! So to summarize the speakers.... Barbara Nelson-Jameson (National Park Service) - Intro to Water Trails and what's happening around the state & country, Intro to Water Trail Planning and Logical Lasting Launches Cindy Burkhour, Access to Recreation - designing facilities for accessible paddling with a focus on the accessible launch being developed by Great Lakes Lift/EZ Dock Patrick VanDeHey - Riverside Kayak - the role of the outfitter in developing and promoting water trails Session will probably last 1 and 1/2 hours
