We also had 100 CIOs of billion-dollar companies. My job was to get them to talk. Our environment was a bulletin board fueled by targeted emails, which persuaded members to start or contribute to discussions. I developed the database system in Access to sort the member list and measure participation. I also wrote feature articles for the site. It was the thesis project for my masters degree at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU. RFM was about redemption. It took people who were completely rejected and allowed them to find a society of listeners who understood them. Self-esteem resulted, and real lives changed.
