Relevant Work Experience: 3 + years Oil & Gas Industry
Location: Calgary
Education Level : Bachelor Degree, or Two-Year Petroleum or Environment Technology Diploma or equivalent. NACE certification.
Position Overview: Field Technician that will perform various Integrity and Surveying duties throughout western Canada
Purpose:
This Calgary based role will be responsible for providing field support for the Managing Director of
Pipeline Integrity.
Job Description: Pipeline Integrity Technician,
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Coating Surveys for Performing ACVG DCVG and CIS surveys
Support in regards to depth of cover for pipeline integrity and finalizing inspection results.
Complete River/Creek Surveys and Risk Analysis documentation
Complete day to day administrative duties in the office as required
Provide technical support for leak detection
Process field data and prepare deliverables for review by management
Locate pipelines and asbuilt facilities
Support Pipeline integrity projects to assess priority fields, complete field validation and work towards functioning reportable data for clients.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Pipeline Integrity, Regulatory or Survey Experience is an asset.
Pipeline Coating and Attenuation Survey Experience
Experience with External Corrosion Direct Assessments
Understanding of the petroleum industries operational activates, primarily pipelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
Excellent computer and analytical problem solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, Microsoft Word, and Outlook required.
High awareness of safety compliance and adherence to company HS&E standards.
Capable of working with minimum supervision and must demonstrate a proactive approach in the
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain timely information. performance of the job responsibilities.
Flexible and willing to travel to the field to provide support ranging from a day to an entire week as deemed necessary. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
2 years of experience in a similar role or pipeline related industry experience is required
Working knowledge of pipeline regulations, standards as well as NACE training is an asset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities is required.
