GAINSBOROUGH EQUESTRIAN CENTRE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RULES I,……………………………………………………..of,…………………………………………………… ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Hereby acknowledge that I have been informed by the management of the Gainsborough Equestrian Centre, of the following Rules for Agisters’ and agree that I have understood the spirit of them. I further agree to abide by those rules, which I understand have been laid down to ensure the Occupational Health and Leisure safety of agisters’ and that should I fail to abide by them, I agree that I have done so at my own risk and acknowledge that I have been provided with a list of what is expected of me by the management of the Gainsborough Equestrian Centre. RULES That any and all agisters’ or visitors’ shall wear an approved safety helmet at all times whilst riding horses and that such helmet will be of the minimum standard of AS/NZS 3838. That agisters’ or riders, leaving the premises of Gainsborough in order to pleasure ride outside the property and along the roadside, shall do so at their own risk. That friends, acquaintances or associates of an agister, shall not be invited onto or allowed to ride horses within the boundaries of Gainsborough Equestrian Centre, without the prior consent of the owners of the Gainsborough Equestrian Centre and if mounting an Agister’s horse, to be wearing the appropriate safety and approved riding boots and helmet. In addition to this, such mounting shall be done within the Round Yard with the gate locked and in the presence of John or Linda O’Leary so that they may assess the ability of such rider versus the level of the horse. That Parents’ or friends of any Agistor, who may bring children onto the property, shall supervise them at all times and ensure that they are by the parent/guardian’s side at all times. Not moving about the property at will. Visitors’ and friends should be warned that horses are unpredictable animals and can be dangerous. They should also be advised that there are Stallions in residence on the property and that under no circumstances should their paddock or yards be entered or the said horses be patted or fed. That agisters’ and or friends shall stay away from any horses in the care and control of Gainsborough. Gainsborough Equestrian Centre is a Training Centre and houses ‘Problem Horses’ almost on a daily basis. Horses are not to go near or under the Pagoda which is adjacent to the Dressage Arena. Horse Floats shall load, unload or park adjacent to the Round Yard or the bottom Float Park. The Show Jumping arena gates must be shut whilst horses are being ridden there. No lunging on any of the arenas. All manure to be picked up immediately after riding or a fee is charged Don’t ever touch taps on water troughs Horses must be impeccable looked after at Gainsborough. We will not sit back and watch cruelty or neglect. The Management and/or their represtatives, shall retain the right to enter opon any Yard or Tack Shed, at any time, without advising the Agistee, for the purposes of proper observation of the care of the Horse and the cleanliness and repair of the facilities. Should Management deem it necessary to shift a Horse into a Paddock or other facilit, based upon Veterinary observation, they shall not require permission from either Owners or Lessees of Horses but will notify the Owners as soon as practicable. Horses must never be over rugged or left over rugged when they should be undressed if Temperatures rise Horses must be fed at the designated meal times and they must be fed twice per day. Morning and Evening. Yards must be kept in the manner which they were found. This means no holes, bumps, humps and the retention of the equal fall for drainage in stables 1-10!! Bales of Hay must be checked for weeds and if found taken back immediately and NOT thrown in the manure heap. This will infest the property. Worming is carried out by the Management at designated times and we supply them. If your Horse leaves manure on car parks, driveways, walkways or arenas, it must be picked up after riding and if not, you will be charged. Cruelty to Horses will not be tolerated. Angle Parking in car parks. Don’t throw manure around Tre trunks. Angle Parking in both front and back car parks. Bitching will not be tolerated. Horses will be stimulated and exercised at least 4 times per week. That can include letting them out in the run around paddock for a good period of time, lunge them, work on them and train them if unbroken or ride them. Horses WILL NOT be left to rot in yards and climb the walls through boremdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LATE PAYMENTS Any Late Payments of agistment will incur a 5% penalty on outstanding amounts. In short, this is a Professional Establishment that has seen $500,000 spent to provide the best and safest environment for Horses and their Owner’s. Excellence is the key word.
