The course runs over 6 or 8 sessions for groups of up to 16 participants. Well Now offers an alternative to conventional dieting. Well Now is suitable for individuals of any shape, size or weight and for anyone regardless of health, wealth or fitness level. It is suitable for women who are pregnant too. How is Well Now different? There are a whole range of diets designed to induce weight loss. These include: calorie controlled diets, meal replacements, points systems, high protein diets etc. However, consider this: • If one diet worked perfectly, there would never be the need for another, yet there are countless diet plans available. • Dieting, for the majority of people, has been shown to result in weight gain over time. • Dieting often makes certain foods seem like "forbidden fruit" The Well Now course promotes a way of life that focuses on intuitive eating and enjoyable physical activity rather than dieting and weight loss. The goal is to help people of all shapes and sizes improve their health. Well Now acknowledges: • Dieting generates stress and feelings of failure for many. Well Now promotes a healthy approach to food. It supports eating in a manner which balances individual nutritional needs, hunger, fullness, appetite and pleasure. Many factors influence health regardless of weight A healthy relationship between food, body and mind is essential Physical activity should be enjoyable, sustainable and enhance quality of life Size acceptance, self approval and self confidence improve well-being We recognise that diets can be frustrating and often don’t work. This is the opportunity to break the diet cycle, tune in to body signals and learn to respect and take care of ourselves in the body we have right now.
