The Invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared
in UN Development Business online (UNDB online); Bank’s external website on November
13, 2013; in local Newspapers and WAPDA’S website on November 21, 2013.
The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (the Borrower) has received a loan
(hereinafter called “Funds”) from the International Development Association (hereinafter
called “The Bank”) towards Dasu Hydropower Project and it is intended that part of the
proceeds will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract.
The Water and Power Development Authority of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (the
“Employer”) invites sealed bids on post-qualification basis under Single Stage Bidding
Procedure, from eligible bidders for Procurement, Design, Supply, Transport, Installation,
Stringing, Testing and Commissioning of 132 KV Single Circuit Transmission Line between
DubairKhwarHydel Power Station and Dasu along with Grid Station near Dasu Dam site.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office of General Manager
(Hydro) Planning, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and inspect the
bidding documents during office hours at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested
eligible bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon
payment of a nonrefundable fee of Pak Rupees 10,000/- or US$ 100/- for mailing within
Pakistan. For mailing the documents to an address outside Pakistan, a payment of nonrefundable fee of Pak Rupees 20,000/-or US$200/- is required.
The provisions in the Instruction to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the
provisions of the Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Plant.
A Pre-bid meeting will take place on 25-08-2014 at 11:00 hours at the following address.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11:00 hours on 10-09-2014 and
must be accompanied by a Bid Securityin an amount of Pak Rupees 25 Million or US$0.25
Million in the form of unconditional Bank Guarantee.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend
