Success story by Victoria Akhchiyani I want to tell my story about the place which impressed me the most. From the buginning of program I thought it would be Tallinn. But I was wrong. The city, which is called Pärnu - is famous as it’s beautiful and historic resort town with sandy beaches and diverse cultural life. I couldn’t even imagine that such a small town could bring me so much joy and unforgettable memories. I love it all. As I walked to the college I enjoyed the little quiet streets and every tree and flower that grew on the way. I kept taking pictures of streets and houses because each one was unique. Walking down the streets, beach, parks. I couldn’t stop. When I had several free minutes I went outside and breathed the smell of the town. After the lectures when the sun shined, we were swimming in the Sea or lying on the beach. In the evening we went to the Restaurant or Café and tasted national cuisine. Also it’s highly regarded health food. We found a restaurant with environmentally products. If was raining we went to Wellness Spa and enjoyed treatments for face and body spent our times in different types of saunas and baths, got different types of massage (stone massage, Tai massage) and my favorite chocolate body wrap. Don’t forget to visit attractions. There is a list of most popular: 1. Red Tower, which is former prison tower. It was named after the red bricks that used to cover its exterior, but as they have not been restored, then the tower you see today is white instead. 2. Kihnu Veeteed is a small island and a UNESCO heritage site off of the coast. It has a unique culture due to the past isolation and many women still wear the folk costume skirt as everyday dress. 3. Tower Hall was onstructed in 1797 in classical style and first used as a dwelling. Since 1839, the building housed the town hall. 4 Catherine Church – was built in 1768 by order of Empress Catherine II. The Church is the richest in the baroque church in Estonia. The architecture of the church has influenced the architecture of the other Orthodox churches Baltic. At the end we felt exhausted but so excited. Sometimes me and my friends didn’t sleep at all and we didn’t feel any tiredness. We were enjoying every moment spent in Pärnu. You will enjoy every moment in Pärnu.
