The French Revolution Project
The Task:
1. Your team will create, organize and present a complete lesson regarding a part of
the French Revolution to your peers.
2. Our class will be divided into four or five groups and each group will be assigned
a different area of the French Revolution.
3. Your group will have up to half the class period to present your lesson. It will be
a PowerPoint based presentation.
4. Your team will divide and conquer this assignment!!
Group Leader:
 Responsible for assigning jobs-facilitates the groups decisions regarding job
assignments
 Manages fellow group members-monitors behavior, makes sure everyone is on
task
 Responsible for facilitating the group’s presentation-gives the introduction to
the presentation
 Assist in research of topic and design of presentation
PowerPoint Designer
 Coordinates with each individual reporter on information to be included
 Brings together suggestions from team member on the design of the
presentation
 Creates the PowerPoint presentation
Individual Presenter/Reporter
 Responsible for researching your subject
 Participates in presentation
 Provides suggestions for the creation of the PowerPoint
5. Your group will be assigned one of the following topics:
-Milestones of the French Revolution from May 1789-September 1792
-Discuss elements of the “Declaration of the Rights of Man,” its similarities to the
US Constitution, and the Enlightenment thinkers that influenced its development
-The Reign of Terror
-Key characters and groups (parties) of the Revolution
-Evaluation of the success and impact of the French Revolution
6. All members should research the topic in order to learn all they can about it and
gather pertinent information to be used in the presentation. Don’t forget to use
your textbook for information. I also have different texts that will be beneficial.
7. After researching and learning, as a group brainstorm on the ideas for the
presentation and the information to be included. Always learn more about the
topic than what you will actually present. Group leader should task group
members accordingly and set completion dates.
8. PowerPoint presentations should include appropriate pictures, graphics, succinct
information, and a works cited page.
9. Works Cited: you must use at least six sources; no more than 3 may be from the
Internet
10. Research, review, revise, review, rehearse, revise, present!!!!
