Additional Information: This approval relates to the use of “Bumper” as a horticultural fungicide on the crops & in the situations of Ornamental Plant Production as listed above, for the control of: White rust. Apply at the first sign of infection. Growers are specifically advised due to the diverse nature of ornamentals to test a small area of crop first to ensure there are no adverse effects (phytotoxic or other) to their production from one or more treatments. Growers are also advised not to make applications when the crop is under any stress; biotic (disease, insect pressure etc) or abiotic (heat, water, mineral stress etc) Bumper containing Propiconazole can be phytotoxic (causing stunting of shoot growth) both to treated crops & via soil residues to following crops. A 14 day interval between spraying & planting following crops is advisable. Growers are advised not to rotovate debris from treated crops into the soil especially if treatment was close to harvest. The phytotoxic effect of residues is most marked on Solanaceous crops eg; tomato. Anti resistance strategy: Bumper contains Propiconazole which is classed by FRAC group 3 DMI fungicides. Disease control may be reduced if resistant strains develop to Propiconazole. To prevent the development of resistance, Bumper should not be used continuously or as the sole method of control. Consideration should be given to alternation of approved products having a different mode of action (from a different chemical FRAC group) with satisfactory efficacy against the targeted disease. Important Please Note: Prior to the use of this product, growers should take advise from their crop advisers particularly in relation to the use of this product within an integrated crop management system of production. ________________________________________________________________________
