Language
Practise writing your letters neatly with tails.
Write a letter to your teacher about how you are spending your snow day.
Use capital letters, full stops and make your sentences as interesting as
possible. Draw a picture to show us what you have been doing.
Write a winter poem – think about all the five senses. What do you
see,hear,feel,taste,smell?
Imaginative writing – Write your very own snow story in a mini booklet.
Illustrate with pictures. It can be fun such as a snowman coming to life
or scary such as a rescue that happens in the snow.

common words and practise the ones you don’t know. Choose a word. How
many times can you write it in a minute? Write it in different colours.

If you have the Internet, do some personal research for your class
project. This would be about Food. You could make a ‘Did you know?’
page to share with your class.
Science
Time how long it takes for snow to melt if it is heated (brought inside)
and also how long does water take to freeze?
Snow fun
Instead of building a snowman, can you make something else out of snow?
How about a snow dragon or a snow elephant? Take a photo and bring it
back to school.
Hope to see you back in school soon.
