DEVELOPING MY UNIT VISION Students will need to know the 5 standards of the World Language & Culture Dept. commonly called the 5 C's, so they can see the importance of learning a world language, Spanish (el espanol). II. CREATING MY SUMMATIVE UNIT ASSESSSMENT Students will take a 50 question-Multiple Choice Final Exam, and weekly tests on Mondays. The exams focus on comprehension in context, with objective answers, A, B, C, D III. TRANSLATING MY LEARNING GOALS INTO MINI-LESSON OBJECTIVES I will review and guide student development in the different fields where Spanish has played and keep playing a vital role: History of the Spanish language, Daily Communication (Alphabet sounds, True/False Cognates in English), Spanish words used in English, … (Daily conversations, Military Expressions, Ballet), Sports (Olympics), Business (Translation-NAFTA), Movie (Translation of Sub-titles), Music (Usage of Spanish vocabulary in songs by top artists...), Culinary Expressions, Arts, etc...
