Many universities do not pay their faculty any honoraria for CME. Some of our departments do not pay their faculty for CME and many do not pay the full, maximum allowable. These are therefore maximums and not recommendations.

*If the course is financially successful, UCSD may provide up to $3,000/lecture, or a maximum of $5,000/day.
Payment for lectures given by the Course Director can be received in addition to the coordination fee. Any sums exceeding the above are not authorized; however, course profits can be considered as a potential source of revenue under normal faculty compensation programs.
Exceptions to be approved by Chair of sponsoring department.
TRAVEL AND EXPENSES
Faculty/Speakers at UCSD CME activities must be reimbursed according to
UCSD Travel guidelines.
