1. You are clerking a complaints panel meeting, and the parents (the complainants) are becoming increasingly aggressive towards the Headteacher and also the panel. The chair is not taking any action. What are the risks involved and what actions would you take now and after the meeting to prevent a similar situation occurring?

2. You are clerking a governing body meeting where your governing body is about to make a decision on the staffing structure. This is going to affect all staff in the admin office and you know one of your co-opted governors is married to a member of the office staff. He has not declared a conflict of interest in this item on the agenda, and is actively taking part in the discussion. What are the risks involved and what actions would you take now and after the meeting to prevent a similar situation occurring?
