Lemon Syrup, juice 2 lemons 115g/4oz caster sugar. Sift flour and baking powder in large bowl add rest of ingredients beat till smooth. Bake in greased and lined 1kg/2lb loaf tin at 180*c (160*c fan) gas mark 4.for 1 hour. Heat lemon juice and sugar till dissolved drizzle over cake whilst still warm. C3 Honey Cake 225g/8ozs SR Flour; 150g/6ozs Honey; 100g/4ozs Butter or Margarine; 150g/6ozs Sultanas; 2 Medium eggs (beaten) & Pinch of Salt). Use creamed method keeping a little flour to add with the sultanas.
