The Change of Linguistic and Literary Education: Challenges for the
Improvement of Teacher Training

Department of Lithuanian and Literature Didactics, Faculty of Lithuanian Philology, Lithuanian
University of Educational Sciences organise the III international scientific conference to discuss topical
questions and perspectives on Language and Literature teacher training and didactics in the modern world.
Philology and educology scientists from different countries are invited to debate problems of linguistic
and literary education and teacher training in the context of current topicalities and innovations in education
policy and variation of educational paradigms.
Conference topics include, but are not limited to:




improvement opportunities for language and teacher training;
educational innovations in the language and literature teacher training;
educational paradigms shift and training of language and literature teachers;
implementation of educational innovations in the process of language and literature
education

questions of motivation in studying language and literature;
tendencies in changes of language and literature programmes and examinations;
quality of language and literature teaching.


Conference languages: Lithuanian, English, Russian.
Oral presentations are allocated up to 15 min. 5 min are allotted for discussion and questions.
Conference participant fee is 70 Lt.
Submission of registration forms and abstracts of presentations (the length of the abstract should be 800
characters) is due by 25 October 2014 by e-mail: didaktikalf@leu.lt .
