Practical examination Form of Assessment Title of the Study Program Title of the Subject Faculty, Department Instructor Address Subject Description The course aims to intorduce students to the conception of Lithuanian ethnic culture; Lithuanian traditions, customs, ceremonies, festivals relating them to ethno-choreography. Folklore, including choreographic folklore as well is a universal education system and means, which stimulates creativity, which is necessary in training a dance teacher. The subject consists of theoretical (studies of Lithuanian ethnic culture) and practical (practical exploration of ethno-choreography examples) parts. Study outcomes: 1. Students will be able analyse Lithuanian dance folklore in the context of customs and rituals. 2. Students will be able to perform main dance steps of Lithuanian ancient ethnic choreography examples: choreographic games, circle dances and pair dances. 3. Students will be able to apply Lithuanian ethnic choreography in the process of dance education. Readings
