Misr International University Procedures for Payment of Tuition Fees through the Bank 1 Steps of Payment To pay via the bank, please read carefully the following instructions: A - Export Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE) 1. Parents / Students should print Cash Deposit slip via MIU electronic website s-portal.miuegypt.edu.eg by following the instructions below: a) Open the Internet Explorer then insert the URL: s-portal.miuegypt.edu.eg b) Insert your MIU e-mail address and password as shown in the interface below: c) Upon logging into the website, press “Print Cash Deposit” on the left handside of the screen as shown in the interface below: 2 d) When you are on the “Print Cash Deposit” webpage, the following will appear on the screen: You have to choose the Export Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE) bank. Then a list of items will be viewed. This list will appear as follows: - Old Due - Current Due - Minimum Amount = old due+ minimum current due - Maximum Amount= old due+ maximum current due e) Press “ Print Out Bank Deposit” button as shown in the interface below: 3 2. After printing out the Bank Deposit, go to any of the Export Development Bank in Egypt branches. 3. Submit the Bank Deposit to the bank clerk together with the amount due (Not less than the minimum dues and not more than the maximum dues) 4. You will receive: a. A Deposit Slip that will be printed out by the bank clerk from the University website. b. A copy of Deposit Receipt issued by the bank, 4 where you should check that: i. The number on the copy of the Deposit Receipt (4-b) is identical to the number of the Deposit Slip (4-a). ii. The paid amount is correct (as typed on the Deposit Slip) iii. The University name and account are written correctly (as in the Deposit Slip) iv. The copy of the Deposit Receipt is clearly sealed by the Bank v. The student’s name is written in full and correctly vi. The student’s I.D. and the faculty are stated correctly and clearly. 5 5. Visit the Accounting Department at the University to submit the original copy of the Deposit Slip (4 – a) and a copy of Deposit Receipt (4 – b), and to receive an official receipt issued by the University. Very Important: Unless a student receives an official receipt issued by MIU, the amount of money deposited in the bank will not be considered a proof of the student’s payment of the university fees and accordingly no enrollment procedures will be proceeded with. (Only having the bank’s cash deposit slip does not mean that the student had paid the university fees) 6 B- HSBC Bank: 1. Parents / Students should print Cash Deposit slip via MIU electronic website s-portal.miuegypt.edu.eg by following the instructions below: a) Open the Internet Explorer then insert the URL: s-portal.miuegypt.edu.eg b) Insert your MIU e-mail address and password as shown in the interface below: c) Upon logging into the website, press “Print Cash Deposit” on the left handside of the screen as shown in the interface below: d) When you are on the “Print Cash Deposit” webpage, the following will appear on the screen: 7 You have to choose the HSBC bank for depositing. Then a list of items will be viewed. This list will appear as follows: - Old Due - Current Due - Minimum Amount = old due+ minimum current due - Maximum Amount= old due+ maximum current due Note: Choose and write down the Cash Deposit amount which must not be less than the minimum amount and must not exceed the maximum amount. e) Press “ Print Out Bank Deposit” button as shown in the interface below: f) Doing so, the Cash Deposit slip will appear. 8 Note: Printing will not be carried out unless you insert the due cash amount. Print the Cash Deposit slip by pressing the top right button of the screen. 2. Go to the any of the HSBC branches in Egypt. 3. Fill in another Cash Deposit slip at the bank (an original slip and a copy). Make sure that you rewrite exactly the same data inserted in the cash deposit slip you have already printed especially: Student name, student code and ref number You must insert such data keeping the same place, order and language used to fill in the cash deposit slip you have printed. 9 Make sure that you check the accuracy of the filled in data: - Amount of money - The Faculty’s account no. - Branch - Date Note that you have to make sure that the data you have inserted in both slips are identical. 4. Submit the cash deposit slip you have printed slip MIU website (item no. 1) + the cash deposit slip you filled in at the bank ( the original slip and the copy) (item no. 3) to the clerk concerned at the bank with the due amount of money printed on the Cash Deposit slip no. 1. 5. The student will be given back the following: a. The cash deposit slip the student has printed out (item no. 1) after making sure that it had been sealed by the bank. b. A copy of the bank’s cash deposit slip. Make sure of the following: - Writing the cash deposit slip no. typed opposite to Ref. ( As typed on MIU cash deposit slip) - Writing the student’s full name clearly. (As typed on MIU cash deposit slip) - Writing the student’s I.D. in full and correctly. (As typed on MIU cash deposit slip) - Writing the amount paid accurately. (As typed on MIU cash deposit slip) - Writing the faculty’s account correctly. (As typed on MIU cash deposit slip) - sealing the cash deposit slip using the bank seal 10 VI- It is highly necessary to go to MIU’s Accounting Department to submit MIU’s original cash deposit slip (that was previously printed out from MIU website and that the bank has already sealed) in addition to a copy of the bank’s cash deposit slip. Make sure you take back, in return, an official receipt issued by MIU. Very Important: Unless a student receives an official receipt issued by MIU, the amount of money deposited in the bank will not be considered a proof of the student’s payment of the university fees and accordingly no enrollment procedures will be proceeded with. (Only having the bank’s cash deposit slip does not mean that the student had paid the university fees) 11 Necessary Instructions before Printing out The Deposit Slip of the Export Development Bank of Egypt or HSBC 1. MIU will be responsible for defining the deposit slip no. of (the Export Development Bank of Egypt). The no. will appear only when the document is printed out. 2. MIU will be responsible for defining the HSBC’s deposit slip Ref. no. This no. will appear only when the document is printed out. 3. You may deposit the due amount of money using the deposit slip of the Export Development Bank of Egypt at any of the bank’s active branches in Egypt. You do not have to restrict yourself to only one branch. 4. You may deposit the due amount of money using the HSBC’s cash deposit slip at any of the bank’s active branches in Egypt. You do not have to restrict yourself to only one branch. 5. The deposit transaction will not be accepted by the bank in case of the following: - The printed-out deposit slip of the Export Development Bank of Egypt) is missing. - The HSBC cash deposit slip is missing. - Depositing money at the HSBC using the deposit slip of the Export Development Bank of Egypt. - Depositing money at the Export Development Bank of Egypt using the deposit slip of the HSBC. 12 - Paying an amount of money less or more than the amount written on the printed-out deposit slip or the printed-out cash deposit slip. 6. In case you would like to pay in cheques, please go to MIU and pay the due amounts there. 7. It is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDEN to transfer any amount of money from inside or from outside Egypt to the accounts of the two banks. Any money transfer will not be accepted and parents or the transferer will bear any subsequent adverse consequences. 13
