MUCHEA VEAL REPORT 4th May, 2015
This week, Muchea veal sale numbers reduced by 32 head to see 78
calves sold. Due to the cyclone passing through the northern pastoral
area, some consignments were unable to leave the station of dispatch.
With limited numbers coming forward, the market remained equal to
recent quotes with veal going predominantly to graziers and restockers as
few butcher calves were offered.
Local bulls saw a price range of $280 to $450, depending on size and
condition.
Local steers saw sales to $490 and their sisters sold to $380, again to
graziers.
