Please could any year 13’s who are interested in being on the prom committee please
write a short letter/note to Lauren Kendall expressing why you would like to be on the
committee, how committed you can be and any particular jobs you would like e.g., in
charge of finance. We will be choosing a small team very soon. Thank you

WARNING!
We have been receiving reports of Sir Henry Floyd pupils misbehaving whilst
on their way to and from school. This includes waiting for buses, on the bus
and walking through Aylesbury Town. May we remind you that whilst you are
wearing your uniform you are representing Sir Henry Floyd and so behaviour
should match that which is expected of you in school. If these reports continue
to come in, we will be forced to take strong actions against those involved, so
please think wisely about your actions.
GCSE German students – The pupils who should come on Wednesday to do their
speaking controlled assessment need to check the new timetable which will be on the
door of G13.
Miss Gott’s updated violin timetable has been place in student registers and on the PA
timetable noticeboard.
Student Council Hustings
The hustings will be taking place in assemblies this week.
The dates and locations are as follows:
Monday - Year 7 (Hall)
Wednesday - Sixth Form (Various - see whiteboard in G2)
Thursday - Year 8 (Hall), Year 9 (Theatre)
Friday - Year 10 (Hall), Year 11 (Theatre)
Please ensure that you are prompt and respect the candidates whilst they are speaking.

Eco Council
Do you care about the environment you live and work in? Come along to Eco Council in
G13 from 1.50 on a Tuesday week 2. Open to all years, whether you signed up at the
Freshers Fair or not. See you there!
Floyd Learning Focus Group (FLFG)
We will have our first meeting of the year on Friday break time in T15 at 11.15am. See

Junior Debating Society (open to Years 9-11)
Anyone interested in debating, in Years 9-11, please come to a meeting in T15 at the

Gillman and Soame photographers – Wednesday 23rd September - 9am to 12.30pm - Hall
Gillman and Soame will be in school on Wednesday 23rd September. They will be taking individual photographs of all students.
Please go to the hall promptly at the times indicated on the table below.
Please ensure you are correctly dressed - collars fastened, ties done up, shirts tucked in, blazers on, etc.
If it is dry weather please can Tutor Groups organise themselves in alphabetical order in the courtyard first.
Students (except 7W2 & 9M2) must enter the hall from the humanities/canteen door.
Please sit in the chairs indicated for your Tutor Group in alphabetical order.
7W2 & 9M2 please line up in the Reception area in alphabetical order and wait quietly to be called.
All students to exit via the rear humanities/sportshall door.
Anyone who is unable to attend please see Mrs Bowles at Reprographics for a photo to be taken at a later date.
It is important that everyone attends so that canteen staff can verify you for cashless catering.
