10 Tips to Reduce Waste at NUIG
1. ‘Think before you print’ – do I really need
a hard copy of this email??
2. Why not Email instead of sending through internal mail??
3. ‘Be wise, use both sides’ - why not print
double sided and choose gray scale or
‘draft’ copy
4. Turn over an old leaf - use the reverse side
of miscopies as scrap paper
5. Reuse plastic cups or fill plastic bottle
6. Print 1 copy before printing number of
copies required
7. Choose print layout to maximise information
on each page
8. Set up a waste paper box beside
photocopiers and printer for use as scrap
paper/drafts
9. Say ‘No’ to disposable coffee cups
10. Reuse envelopes for internal mail
