Hispanic Heritage Month Biography Project Due: Monday, Sept. 24th Task: After researching a person of Hispanic origin who has impacted culture and/or history, using informational texts (books and articles) write a report that explains what you learned, and support your discussion with evidence from your research. You will present your project in class! Requirements: 1. Include… a. Place of birth b. Family information and personal history c. Education d. If they are famous and why e. How they have impacted society (foundations, charities) f. Why you chose this person g. Bibliography – use MS74 Works Cited form. MINIMUM 2 SOURCES! 2. Your paper must be at least 5 paragraphs. If you type it, your paper should be between 1 ½ - 2 pages double spaced, 12 point font. 3. Grammar and punctuation count. Use our rubric! 4. NO PLAGIARIZING! Plagiarizing is illegal and anyone caught doing this will receive a “0” on the project and will be reported to the Dean. A parent meeting will be required. 5. Include an art component!
